“To say that working with Alison is paradigm shifting would be an understatement: it’s paradigm exploding! This work opens realms of connection, healing, and truth that I’ve never imagined I could access, and has opened my heart and body and mind to another level of reality and possibility.” ~Jessica Simkovic

In the Fall of 2011, a few months after discovering Constellation work, Alison experienced a profound healing.

“Shortly after attending my first workshop, I was awakened in the middle of the night and energetically drawn into a personal family constellation. I went alone into my living room, and stood in different areas of the room, feeling into my family system. To my surprise and awe, an entirely different understanding of a traumatic experience emerged. That night, a deep wound was healed, a great insight was revealed, and love, compassion, acceptance and gratitude filled my heart.”

That experience led to a life change: by the Spring of 2012 she had resigned from her NYC teaching career, and began a two year mentoring and training with Constellations Facilitator and Trainer Dan Booth Cohen, PhD.

“I came very naturally to this work, and was quickly facilitating Constellations for friends and family – anyone who was curious and willing. What I discovered is that the closer you get to the source of the issue, the greater the sense of “not-knowing”. When I was first starting out, this encounter with not-knowing created fear and uncertainty. But what Constellations have taught me is that when I settle into the not-knowing, the momentum of the inquiry guides us to the solution. It’s a beautiful and powerful experience, and it allows me to engage in Constellation work as a spiritual practice.”

Alison’s professional background is in education and intergroup dialogue facilitation. She has a deep commitment to her spiritual practice, to living in community, and to the cultivation of body-centered listening as a path of peace.

She has facilitated groups for non-profits, church and community organizations; for individuals seeking a greater sense of fulfillment; while living in the Hudson Valley, she was a regular guest faculty and workshop leader at Vassar College, and teaching Body-Centered Inquiry in NYC public schools.

She is the Founder of ExpandedKnowing.com, the Director of ConstellateUs and the North American Systemic Constellations Intensive. She served as Website and Communications Chair of the North American Systemic Constellations Conference in 2015 and 2013. She holds a Bachelors Degree from the University of Michigan in Cellular and Molecular Biology, and a Masters in Education from the University of Massachusetts. Alison lives with her family in Beverly, MA.

With a deep bow to my parents and ancestors, to the Earth, and to the Divine Mother and Father.

Reflections from Clients and Workshop Participants

I felt very opened and light as a representative which enabled me to channel feelings from others while keeping my own boundaries. The group allowed creativity, playfulness, honesty, and seriousness and that created a safe space for me.” ~Vanessa Gallagher

I began to understand my constellation as a representation of a long-held pattern that extends beyond the individuals I assigned the names to. Once I saw the connection in it’s largest sense, I began to see it as not “bad” nor “good” but a commonality that we can choose to correct or at least understand.”  ~Marcia Roth-Tucci

I appreciate Alison’s openness to spontaneity in the spirit of allowing the power of the constellations to speak for themselves. She was adept at containing the space to allow for this to happen. Facilitate comes from the word ‘facile’, or to make easier. It follows that my ideal facilitator contains space and encourages (give courage) the participants in order to ease the process of loosening constricting alignments. In this way, Alison is a natural.” ~ Marc Luchs

Sharing another individual’s inner most thoughts, pain, and joys allowed me to empathize with the wonderful human experience that can help us to move toward a broader knowledge and acceptance of our individual and collective goals and endeavors at home, church, work and in the world in general.” ~Betty Munford

“So I wanted to let you know what’s changed since the constellation: everything! and I know our work together was a profound part of that.” ~F.S.
